Featuring a World Equestrian Games qualifying Grand Prix dressage class, the Festival will combine education with entertainment with a Kyra Kyrklund masterclass to follow the exciting competitive events. A Prix St Georges competition will kick off at 12.30pm, followed by an Inter B (level 8), the thrilling Grand Prix and then a chance to learn from the absolute best with a double masterclass of a quality rarely seen in New Zealand.

The evening of education will include international judge Isobel Wessels in an hour long clinic from 6pm focusing on what dressage judges are looking for. Following this at 7pm, Kyra Kyrklund will be taking a 2 hour masterclass, and it is one of New Zealand's few chances to see her present in this capacity. Kyra is a legend in the dressage world, having ridden at six Olympic Games and coached at four. She has trained an extraordinary number of horses and riders to the upper levels of the sport and is globally renowned for her lecture demonstrations and clinics.

The top six combinations in the Grand Prix will then have the chance to wow the crowds at the Friday Night Show Grand Prix Spectacular, where they will perform their freestyles to music.

The Wade Equine Coaches Festival of Dressage is set for the afternoon of Thursday 12 October, and is a separately ticketed event to Equidays. Tickets are on sale now.
