Richard White comes from a traditional British hunting and point to point family. After the pony club years and trying everything with horses he settled on dressage as best suited for his interest in teaching horses and riders.

After university he worked in Germany, France and Portugal to learn different systems.

Richard and Kyra met at Herbert Rehbein’s Grönwoldhof in Germany in 1990. Together they turned Flyinge stud in Sweden into a mecca for international dressage. They left Sweden in 1998 to develop their own dressage training facility in West Sussex back in Richard’s native UK.

Since then he has been training international riders such as Kyra, Emma Hindle and Nathalie zu Sayn Wittgenstein.  He has been training at almost every major competition and championships for the last 25 years.

Richard is still riding and training horses daily.
